Dear Parents, Church Members, Grandparents, Alumni, and Friends,
First Lutheran School is unique in West Los Angeles in its ability to offer an elementary Christian education, especially because two more parochial schools in the neighborhood closed their doors this past year. We continue to be a quality educational alternative for middle-class families who don’t want their children to be numbers in a large, impersonal system. They are families who want a school where the whole school community: staff, older students, younger students, and parents know their children’s names. They want their children to learn Christian values, right from wrong, a solid work ethic, empathy for others, and respect for authority, as well as developing a strong academic foundation. First Lutheran delivers. Great students, active parents, dedicated staff, and devoted church support make our school a success. Your financial help is playing an ever important role in our success at First Lutheran.
With a struggling economy and a shrinking middle-class many of our families are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet. The Annual Enrichment Fund has become our primary source for assistance for those families. Last year through your generosity, we raised $ 23,830 which enabled us to maintain the quality of our programs and help worthy families.
